Equality by Zora Morais, (10 yrs) Future President

There are a lot of things we could do to make the world better for now and the future. One thing I think we could do to help is having every person on this earth treated equally.

First, there are many factories in this world that treat kids unfairly and poorly. For example, kids have to work for very little money every day just so we Americans can have cheap chocolate and blue jeans.

Black people also are often treated horribly by police officers. The cops are treating them wrong just because they're black even though they’re innocent.

In addition, women are also treated badly. In some countries, women are not allowed to be educated. In this country, women are sometimes paid less than men for doing the same job.

What could we do to change these things? We could make better choices, and not buy so much stuff made by kids. There could be consequences for police who harass people because they’re black. We could gather a big group of women, talk with them about more laws that say women and men can be paid and treated equally and are allowed to be educated.

We all should listen to each other's ideas. What are some of your yours?
